PSA: Don’t Download Palworld On Your Phone, Developers Warn

Don't download any shady apps.

Wanting to take Palworld on the go is understandable, as the general flow of gameplay rewards those who are playing more often than not. However — it appears some less-than-savory characters are putting fake Palworld apps up on the Apple App Store alongside Google Play, leading players into thinking they’ll be able to play on their favorite mobile device when all they could be doing is giving a shady dev their personal information.

Originally posted by the official Palworld X account, players have been warned not to download any Palworld applications on their mobile phones, as they are not authentic and could lead to issues with personal security or the integrity of their devices. This is a practice seen far too often as a hot new game will be released on consoles or PC and players hoping to jump in on Mobile may mistakenly download a knockoff version that isn’t officially endorsed by the development team.

If you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, however, you can play Palworld on your mobile phone — it will just be over the Cloud rather than natively on your device. This is currently the only endorsed way to play Palworld on your mobile phone, with no mobile version seemingly in development. The only official versions of this game are currently available on Steam and Xbox, with a possible PlayStation 5 port arriving in the future.

As Palworld continues to dominate the Steam charts, there is a chance that we could see this survival/crafting game make its way to our favorite iPhone or Android device in the future. But for now, if you’re hoping to jump into this adorable yet slightly sadistic simulation, stay away from any apps that pop up on your phone. Sure, the game is fun, but identity theft is not worth risking the chance to play this on the go.
